I'd like to find a non-working Sanden compressor to use as a place-holder. Only thing that needs to work is to be able to mount it and hook up belt so it spins. Can anyone give me an idea what vehicles these compressors come on? I doubt Vintage Air would send me a gutted compressor w/o charging an arm and a leg.

1985 & earlier SAABs used them, and a lot of Japanese cars used them as aftermarket add ons. I'll look around when I get back to the shop tomorrow & see if I still have one.

I've got one--a SD 508 from a SAAB 900. $20 + shipping. If you want, I can pull the guts out of it to make it lighter. This compressor has a 2-groove pulley on it.
