Year: 1972
Make: chevy
Model: chevelle ss

High Side: 225 Low Side: 32-35
Refrigerant: freeze 12
Outside Temp: 88

Replaced suction line and hoses,o rings. vaccumed system down and recharged after verifying no leaks. Vent temps are 60-65 while at idle on max, goes down to 58-60 while driving. Shows no sign of restriction. Tried adding more freon (and removing)doesn't help. Can see flow of refrigerant in site glass. Didn't want to put anymore 80% only recomended. any advice ? door to evaperator seem fine as well....worked fine before hose was damaged.

Freeze 12 is a blend of 134a and r148 whatever that is.
You're seeing what happens when you dont have a very efficient condensor. At idle low air flow across condensor will not condense refrigerant enough. Moving more air across it at hiway speeds will.
Alternatives Electric fan(pusher) or higher efficiency condensor

don't need a change in condenser, that is all the system will do with the R-12 components installed.

Maybe go back to r-12?
