Hi guys,
Im in the middle of a restoration (and conversion to 134) of the factory air conditioning on my 1970 SS. I have removed the evaporator box from the firewall, and, after a good cleaning and clearcoating, I am ready to reassemble it. I have a new evaporator along with a new expansion valve. My question arises from the fact that the new expansion valve is slightly different than the old one. The old valve had two lines, one that went to the temp bulb and mounted to the upper evaporator tube, the other plugged into the POA. My new evaporator has one line that will go to the POA update. The other line goes to the temp bulb that will mount to the upper evaporator tube. The temp bulb has an extra line that comes out of it that is connected to nothing. What do I do with this extra line that comes out of the temp bulb? The old expansion valve didnt have this line.
Thanks, Kevin
