Anyone? Also I have a cowl induction hood......so im thinking that extreme flow lid would help out quite a bit...

I bought two tops...one for the 57 and the other for my 69 Camaro. Both had to be rejetted, so I suppose they flow more and I was surprised because I have a 4" K&N 14" on both!

On the Camaro, you can sure tell it's sucking air from the top under the cowl induction. That's where it gets dirty first.

IMHO and experience, don't waste your money..I lost a .08 MPH trying one on my car back to back(70 SS454 w/cowl induction),and trying without lid lost .07 MPH Put the factory lid back on,MPH back to where it usually is (102.85-102.87)

the extreme top seemed to change the fuel air ratio enought to require a jetting change.. I'm not sure if it was becouse of the way the air was flowing .... or just more of it.. but it did require a rejet in my case where the 14" K&N filter by itself didn't adding the top changed things enough to make it noticable on the plugs

Any power loss from going to a freer flowing air cleaner is because the carb was jetted for the restrictive filter. Re-jetting will take care of that.

Good point.I just borrowed one(the extreme lid),and didn't have time to "tune" with it,just make back to back runs.I thought I would have saw some increase just the way it was though.
