I've gotta 71 chevelle and I'm runnin a 400 bored 30 over and it's an everyday driver. I'm 16 and I'll drive it alot. Anyways, I bought an electric fan for a couple of reasons, free up a tad of hp and how it looks I guess. But, I bought a rapid cool fan and it pushes like 1,250 cfm. I was told I need about 2,900. It's 14 in diameter and 13 1/2 long. So should I mount two of them as pullers since itll fit or what? I think I'll need to get a new altenator too. Like a 105 amp cause I'll be putting some electronics in it. But with my setup, what should I do? Run two fans and get a bigger altenator or what? All your help and opinions are appreciated! THANKS!

Tylers71,Do a search in this section (search function)for dual electric fans. There are some good photos of dual fan installations and info on the alternators used. The Dual Flexilite,Spal, and BE-Cool fans are built into shrouds and usually come with mounting hardware. This link is to just one of the previous posts.Hope this helps. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/Forum27/HTML/000636.html

If the engine is not overheating then you shouldn't have to do anything. You seem to have left out if it's working or not. It sounds like you mounted the electric into the shroud opening where the stock one was.

As far as an alternator, look to the MAD site www.madelectrical.com (http://www.madelectrical.com) for info on a 12SI that's put out around 94A and is fairly easy to install into the car.
