I was planning on buying a radiator from a person I know, I wanted to know how I could tell how many rows the radiator has? Also will a radiator that was used on a 307 work as well on a 350?

You can count the rows through the cap opening. Just count the tubes from front to back: 2=2row, 3=3row, 4=4row. GM used different radiators for different applications, so I would be careful about using a radiator from a smaller engine for a larger one. Cooling is very important and an old radiator could have corrosion and blockages that would affect it's efficiency. Buy a new one.

If it's sufficient to cool your engine, take it to a radiator shop before you put it on the car. Have it cleaned and pressure tested by them. They'll tell you if it's good enough or not.

The parts store replacement radiators for the 307 are exactly the same as those for the 350. I don't mean they look the same, I mean the part numbers are the same (this is based on a '70 Malibu).
