Hello Fellas,

I bought a aftermarket alum rad that is taller than the original. Would I be able to cut out the bottom of my original rad core support and then weld u brackets to the bottom to hold the rad in. The rad would sit lower than the original but the top bracket would be in alignment. I would also weld in some metal to make the shroud fit.

Is the original shape and slot holes of the lower rad core support important to the function of the cooling system?

Thanks,

Kris
