Who makes a dual 12" set of electric cooling fans with shroud? This is for a 68 Chevelle with a 31" X 19" radiator. Is there any modification to make to install this unit? Any other info or ideas is appreciated.

They have that at summitracing.com. Flexalite makes that 12" dual.

I am not a flexolite fan (no pun intented and no offence meant to the poster) because they do not produce the flow that they advertise. Just compare the amperage or wattage and that should tell you the story. About an amp per 100 cfm is all you can get from even the most efficient fans.

I like the dual 13" fans a lot.....I dont like how they dray 50 AMPS!?!?!? This seems like an awful lot. Could a 100 amp alternator handle that, and still power the car? or am I over reacting?

Some fabrication of brackets to mount the fan and some basic wiring is all that is required. Depending on what kind of fan you get, you will have to mount a thermostatic sensor in either the radiator hose or in the intake manifold or head to control the relay that turns the fan on and off. You may also want to mount an overide on/off switch in the car. The only other problem you might encounter is with the capacity of your alternator. These fans pull a lot of power, so your alternator should be in the 100 amp output range. You might have to upgrade.
