I have installed a 454 in my Chevelle and am ready to add the coolant. I have been told that the best water to mix with the anti freeze is distilled water, is there any truth to that and why? Thanks for any information.

Distilled water is best to use especially if you have hard water (alot of Calcium). The calcium can form deposits in the rad and rest of the cooling system and inhibit the cooling system effect.
