I have a '72 chevelle. My interior heater motor doesn't work on high anymore and blows less well than it used to on the other settings. Is it most likey the switch? fan motor? Is there a fuse somewhere? Thanks for any insight.

Moose72, I'm not sure, but if the car has A/C there should be a in line fuse holder with a 30amp fuse in or near the firewall wire gutter under the hood. This controls the high speed using Battery voltage.
It also could be a corroded, loose connection at resistor or the resistor itself.
If you have A/C then the resistor is mounted on the air box under the hood.
If non A/C then resistor is mounted on air box under dash.
If it's the resistor I have no idea if it's availible. Maybe able to post want ad on this site. Hope this helps. Jim.

Your car has a high blower relay. The blower draws alot of amps on high, too much to run trough the switch. The power goes through the switch for the low speeds to the resistors that are on the evaporator case, but for high the switch operates a relay that is also attached to the evaporator case. When the relay closes the power comes through another circuit, should be a large red wire, then a large purple wire goes to the blower. There is a connector in the red wire that will sometimes melt from the high amp load and there is a fuseable link at the starter. Usually the fuseable link is ok. Check the connector and the relay first.
