How hard is it to replace the heater core on a 68 W/AC? Does anyone have any tips? Thanks for your help.

If you are reasonably well versed in mechanical procedures, it is not a difficult task. Get a repair manual to give you the step by step process. Take your time and be patient. You can always come to the forum if you get hung up and need help.

You need to pull the heater box under the dash on the pax side. The only bolt you'll have a problem with is the one on the bottom right (looking at the box from the passenger seat) The nut's somewhere behind the inner fender. I was able to get mine out just by spinning the bolt and pulling.
When putting it back in, I took most of the bolts out of my inner fender, but never could find where the bolt came through. Needless to say, there's one less bolt in it now than there was.

Don't forget to disconnect the heater hoses at the firewall.

If you need a new core for your '68 a/c car, I ahve a new one that I bought off ebay with the description that it was non a/c. It is brand new in the box and you could have it for $30 plus shipping from Mi.
