Where would I find an air conditioner duct hose for my 64 Chevelle w/factory air? My father was going to try to attach the air conditioner vent face to the dash board (not the original dash, it had to be modified to fit the original a/c vent face). He told me (in a not so nice way) that the duct was disinigrating and that I would need a new duct. I am not completely sure what he is talking about, but he won't explain because he acts as if I should know these things. I did inherit the Chevelle from him (64 Malibu SS) but I did not inherit the knowledge about it and he doesn't understand this; he just expects me to know, so that is why I am so happy for this board.

Lita. You are looking for a flexible tube, some 2.5 - 3 inches wide, originally made of cloth with a spiral wound iron support. I know http://www.oldairproducts.com sells them; both a plastic and a cloth version.

Perhaps you can find somthing like it in the hardware/trailer shop.
