I have an '86 Elky & need to know what makes the idle solenoid on the side of an E4ME 4 bbl. carb activate when the air cond. is turned on ? I know it must be a switch or relay but need to know where it is located. Thanks--:) One foot on the brake & one foot on the gas, here in 95 degree Kissimmee Florida---:)

check to see if there is current at the solenoid when the a/c clutch is engaged, if there is, the solenoid needs to be adjusted and the instructions are on the under hood sticker, If no current, you have work to do.
