I am interested in getting a PRC radiator for my 67 big block chevelle. Anyone know what the width and height I need for my car. My car does not have a radiator in it right now, so there is nothing that I can measure. Also, I want to run an electric fan. Any reccomendations?

My stk one wasbout 34" x 19" if I remember right.I just bought an aluminum 31" x 19" from Tony at WWW.DIRTTRACKTHUNDER.COM (http://WWW.DIRTTRACKTHUNDER.COM) for $185.I'm gonna install it tonight and see if it lowers my temps any.It should since my stocker was starting to go out on me....

I took careful measurements on the one in my 67 big block Chevelle.

1. The top tank to the core is 3"
2. The bottom tank from the core is 2 3/4" (rad is from an auto trans car so it has the cooling holes but I don't use 'em).
3. Core itself is 25 3/4" wide by 17" high
4. Side flanges are 1 1/8" each
5. Bolt hole centerline to centerline is 27 1/4" wide (didn't measure top to bottom on the bolt holes).
6. The core itself is 2" thick.

Question: Do you have a short or long water pump? If you run a short pump, you'll have enough room for just about any thickness of radiator. Many alum ones are 2 1/2" but I think Be Cool's are 3". You should be able to run any dual fan setup as well since the motors would be offset on each side of the water pump. Ford Windstars are popular as well as Mark VII's I think. A search here will turn up a lot of info on them. Check Spal-USA (http://www.spal-usa.com/html/dampframe.htm). They have many, many fans and even have the engineering drawings showing all dimensions and airflow for each. If you have a long pump, space is at a premium and you'll need to watch fan-to-radiator clearance...don't get a 3" thick core radiator, you'll never get the fan bolts in! I put a March pulley setup on my 67 and documented it here (http://www.dalesplace.com/march/march_page_1.htm). You'll see there's not much room left at all!

PRC (http://www.streetrodstuff.com/Products/157/) will build you one for $281 to your size requirements. A couple of folks here have them and swear by 'em.
