Will a three row radiator provide enough cooling for a 396 with A/C? I will be using a stock water pump with the original clutch 772 fan.

Not in Looooooweeeeeeezannnnnna it won't.

I would definitely look at an aluminum two row for your application with 1.25" tubes. A 1" model would suffice if you would get high performance electric fans for your application. HP electric fans will give your raditor a 25% boost over ANY mechanical fan at idle and slow speeds.

Our L72 and L78 Chevelles came with 3 core rads and 7 blade clutch fans. I've had no hint of cooling problems. Then again ambient air temperatures are never over 100 degrees here and I don't run air.
