Does anyone know where I can get a REAL, GENUINE POA valve? I do not want to convert to "cycling clutch". Should all be the same 68-72?

Thanks for the help!

There's one on e-bay:

I bought a NOS Frigidaire poa from the 'old air folks' in Texas about a year ago....it was the only one they had. Was quite costly.

The one on e-bay isn't a frigidair/gm it's a service replacement. Year one has one very similar to the one on e-bay for $65.00. NOS are hard to find. You can find good used POA valves in wercking yards.

How do you know you need a POA valve?

A friend (doesn't have internet access) converted his system to the R134A refrigerant and installed a "cycling" type POA valve in his system (someone in Texas sells them?). Since then he's had nothing but problems with the AC in his '72 Sprint SP. And it's been hot here in Maryland and he drives it daily!

I don't know enough about AC to do one of these conversions on one of our cars, but he has some idea to make the non-cycling POA work with R134a.

Thanks for the help everyone! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/cool.gif
