Hey gang:
I'm noticing a lot of musclecars running multiple fans without fan shrouds.
I'm planning on running a three fan setup, using the flexfan I've already installed, and two electric fans on either side of the radiator.
Is this a safe setup to run without a shroud?

I just gotta ask - Why?
Why would you run three fans with no shroud when one clutch fan with shroud would do the job just as well (as long as the rest of your system is up to snuff) or even a Mark VIII electric fan or the windstar set-up? (Which, BTW, all have their own shrouds)
Just outta curiosity, whats the motivation?
I am a firm believer in fan shrouds, no matter the application.

At this point, I'm still running pretty hot in So Cal summer traffic. That's with a flex fan and the factory shroud, and a recently rebuilt stock radiator.
I'm not really trying to run without a shroud, but if I stick with my three fan setup, I am going to have to build a custom shroud, or mount the fans in front and turn them into pushers, I guess?
