71 chevelle with 350 no a/c. is the cluch fan different for a a/c compared to non a/c. called local parts only show for a/c. any diffence. 18 inch fan

just replaced mine,took the old one off and took it up to the parts store so they could match it up,any time i don`t take a part up with me they look dumbfounded when i tell them the year of the car

Get it hot and shut it off.If the fan turns easily it may be bad.You should also hear a "roar" from the fan when hot.
I just had to replace mine in my velle and my truck.
Seems like every year or two they go bad.

Like Keith said ,take your old one with you ,they didn't have a problem with the velle, but I had to go back twice for the truck, and it's a 91 GMC!. Mark

What i found is that if you start it up and get it warm and shut it off the fan should stop with the engine.
