One of the cars I am interested in buying is a '67 396/375 SS. The owner said that air was not an option on the high horsepower cars. Does anyone know if this is correct?

I know in 1970 that chevelles that got the 396/375hp engine or the ls6 454/450hp engine could not get A/C. There were solid lifter engines. The 396/350hp and the ls5 454/390hp cars could have A/C these were hydraulic lifter engines. So it makes sense to me that the General wouldn't have done it in 67.

No a/c from the factory on solid lifter engines. Where in Pearland do you live? i lived in Southdown for 10 years. E-mail me offline, your screen name suggests that we may have some mutual friends!
