Has anyone had good experience running RedLines Watter Wetter. I was running straight watter with prestone anti-rust the car was running 160-170 on highway and would get up to 200 in traffic. Then I started running staraight water and Watter Wetter and the car gets hotter quicker, it got up to 200 just waiting for a traffic light. I've only heard good things about watter wetter so whats going on. I also changed both upper and lower radiator hoses could this be contributing?

Don't waste your money on that stuff. Like most Snake Oils its over hyped. 200 degrees is not going to hurt your motor at all. Even years ago the GM idiot lights were not designed to come on before 237 degrees or there abouts. Get a good cap and drive on!

I agree that 200 is not going to hurt a thing. Heck, my 402 came with a 205 degree thermostat from the factory!
Water wetter did seem to help keep my temp down. I went with 70% coolant 30% water for the first half of last summer and had frequent overheat problems, (225 degrees in city traffic). Switched to distilled water and two bottles watter wetter mid-summer and almost never had a temp over 215 the rest of the year.

Bob, Its possible that with distilled water and the water wetter that you temp went down, as water itself has a higher efficiency rating that anti freeze, but it doesn't have the lubricating and rust inhibators that antifreeze does. Its a trade off. With your combo I'd flush the system annually.
