I am doing some "freshing up" on my 67 Chevelle SS and took off the heater box last night. The heat does not work, but I believe it is just that a wire was broken. The heater box looks too small for the exsisting hole in the fire wall. Does anyone have any knowledge about this area of the car??? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Also, if the heater coil is no good, does Ground Up carry this???? Thanks

i did this on my 67 but you said the heater box looks too small for the hole? didn't you remove it from there? how could it be too small? well anyway the heater core you can get at any parts store,i got mine at advance 14.99 i think. a/c and non-a/c are differant. maybe someone took the a/c out?.JIMK

The core is smaller than the hole. The car is not an A/C car.

sounds like someone replaced it with the wrong one take the old one to the parts store and compare with a/c and non-a/c cores.i can't really remember mine but i think i had to use weatherstrip around it to seal it up.JIMK

Yeah, there is probably a 4 to 5 inch gap to the left of the core, from the exsisting hole on the fire wall. It does not look correct. Did you core fill the entire hole in the firewall?? Thanks.
