I have just gotten a 64 that had factory air. I have what I believe to be the correct compressor, but none of the supporting brackets or brace. I understand some of the brackets were exclusively used on the 64. Can anyone tell me what and were to look for the correct brackets and brace?

you might find them on Ebay motors. Look in the parts and accessories section, Chevelle. I had a set listed about four months ago there, and they sold, so you might find a set. Year One also carries a lot of bracketry. YearOne.com.
