My fan switch (70') is acting strange. In the up position (lo) the fan does not blow. Asd I move the lever down one notch at a time, the fan blows faster until I get it in the low position (HI). At the Lo and Hi positions, the fan does not run at all.
Shouldnt the fan be off in only one posistion?

Once the fan goes to full-blast the power comes from a different (full 12 volts) source. There should be a fuse before the heater relay. It's on the fire-wall just above the air routing box. To the left of the A/C boxe if you have on eof this BIG things.
Make sure that fuse is good and that it has 12 volts when the car is on. Then it is either the switch in the head unit (try wiggling it side to side for a better contact) or it is that relay on the fire wall.

Also, at max blast, the power to the fan goes thru the blower relay. Check the voltage on the terminals on the relay when the switch is set to max.

Thanks guys I think the relay is shot! All of the prongs are heavily rusted, so there no way for an electrical current to flow.

Actually, I think the fan should even be blowing at the top (lowest) position. I think the only time the fan is off is when the A/C-Heater slider is OFF (all the way to the left, except on my car, new problem to check out!). I had to take my switch apart and clean it up (after tracing wires and banging relays and stuff), then it worked just fine! The relay might be the problem with the HI setting, but I'd bet the switch is the reason for the LO not working...
