I have a 65 w/factory air that I am trying to convert to R134 and on the low pressure side the schrader valve is jammed and will not unscrew. I have now so destroyed it that I need to remove the fitting from the tubbing. Is this fitting sweated on and can I just heat it to take it apart or any other ideas?

Tony, is the fitting destroyed or just the schrader? There is a special tool us hvac guys use to remove "destoyed" schrader valves.If its just the schrader go to any hvac supply house tell them your situation and they will know what you need. It might cost you a few bucks though. Johnstone Supply is a chain store on the west coast and they are usually very helpful. Hope this helps.
