My sons PII 450MHZ 512 mb win98se computer won't boot. Comes up with Fatal excetion OE has occurred at 0167:BFF55E27.
When it first boots things seem normal then it comes to the the 'windows did not start properly ... goes to save mode and get the OE error. Tried several times with each producing the OE error. The first four letters/numbers change but the next eight remain the same :BFF55E27. Any ideas? I think I can get it to boot to the C:> even if I need to use a start up disk. Will boot to C:> I did a scanreg /restore with it rebooting to the same error messages. TIA Pete
