video's etc usually have software involved so it will walk you through it. Scanning photos is easy you scan it and the software will ask you where to put it. Posting is easy as well just attach the picture. On this site you have to have it posted elswhere and use a link to retrieve it. Building a website shouldn't be that hard buy some begginer to intermediate web building software and just add text and put pictures etc and it will right the code for you. Then you upload it to you ISP site to the web space given to you. Then type in the addy and see if it comes up. Most sites give you stipulations on how or what you website can be made by(software type). This may sound dumb but the for dummy's books are pretty good. I have a dos and tcp/ip and they are very imformative. Get a how to build a website for dummies book.

Here's one good place to learn about creating web sites. (http://www.htmlgoodies.com/)
Well, learning about HTML code anyway.

First you need a host for your website. Many ISPs provide room for a very small site (2Mb-5Mb). Don't know if Geocities still does or not but most *free* hosts have tons of popup ads which are aggrivating to visitors. If you're familiar with MS products, Frontpage is a good way to go without having to learn a lot of HTML; none in fact. My wife uses it to maintain 2 websites and can't spell HTML. If your host has Frontpage extensions, you don't have to learn any FTP commands either...just *publish* your website, FP can publish only the pages you've changed so you don't have to remember.
For scanners, do a little research on different models - check reviews, etc. You can still get a decent scanner for under $150 and for occasional use, under $100 that's acceptable for scanning photos for the Internet.

For free websites go here http://www.webhosts4free.com/
For free website makers do a Google search for "free website makers" and you will get 2&1/2 million of them.
