i have a logitech headphone with mic that i just got. everything seems to work properly but when talking on the web it plays the voice in super slow-mo. tried to change settings but could not get proper playback, either to slow or to fast. is there something i'm doing wrong or any ideas.

probably a combination of your sound card drivers and the new device. Over the web there will be a short delay but it shouldn't be noticable unless it gets real bad. Maybe there are some mic settings to help with your issue but I'm not familiar with this product.
