I was just wondering, what is a good mail client to use (besides Outlook). I really love Netscape's integrated mail, and its' resistance to viruses, but I can't deal with it crashing anymore.
I'd like something small but not too much different than Netscape's mail, that I can run all the time in the background.
Thanks!

Ledsled.
Go out to one of the shareware review sites and take a look at how they rate some of the different mail clients. You can pick up a lot of different clients form places like downloads.com or tucows.com or zdnet.com. I have been using outlook for a while now.
Wish I could help more.

Try www.winfiles.com (http://www.winfiles.com) and look for edura lite (?sp) What version of netscape and what OS are you using? I use 4.7 and have very few problems... MSIE doesn't like alot of jave and doesn't treat html well unless you follow their rules which I feel limits the code some...

I got really tired of the exact same thing going on with my Netscape. So I went to Eudora's site (http://www.eudora.com) and downloaded Eudora. You get the full version for free now.
Here's the thing. You can run it in one of three modes. Full free version gives you ads, but they're not annoying 'popups' that get in the way of everything.
If you're completely offended by ads, you can either pay or choose to run in "light" mode. Not as many features but it's free and you don't have to look at ads.
You can export all your addresses and messages from Netscape Messenger into Eudora very easily. And when you click the mail button on Navigator, it will automatically open Eudora for you.
Another option is Foxmail. It's free and it's the one my wife uses for her e-mail. This keeps us from being tempted to read each others' email.
