Yes, that may be an oxymoron but...

My current local ISP is pretty bad. I want to go with a decent dialup ISP that is nationwide (in case I move in the near future). I am leary of the biggies like Earthlink...any suggestions? On CNet.com I found one call E-Guys and APlus.net. Heard anything about them? E-Guys (kinda dorky name) has service in 3000 cities and looked pretty good.

No, I am not going DSL..don't use the net enough at home to make it worth the $$$...I have ISDN at work! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Thanks

If you're staying in California, then you might want to check into sunset.net. They are pretty much all over the state and are very good. Check their web site (www.sunset.net) to see if they are available where you are and where you're going.

Afraid of Earthlink?!

I've been a happy Earthlink customer for over 3 years. From ISP to DSL. Nothing but great speed, online stability, support, Usenet, you name it.

Ditto to what fried guy said. Started with sprynet way back in the day then like when i was in 8th grade(im a sophmore in college now) we changed over to earthlink. From dial up to our current DSL its been excellent.

Ditto again...Earthlink is the third largest ISP for a reason (behind AOL and MSN which you don't want to screw with).
