Is there any freeware available that I can add to my MS Outlook Express to weed out all the flippin' spam I get? I'm as so frickin' sick of deleting 8 bazillion e-mails a day!

And, with such a device installed, is there any concern it will purge any e-mail I WANT to receive?

I just want my computer to just say NO!

No, I hadn't seen that thread. Are the word filters I saw mentioned something I can turn on and off in my MS Outlook?

Yes you can create word filters for outlook.

So for example you might want to filter out anything that contains "XXX" in the subject line.

In outlook express from win2k it's under tools > message rules.

Thanks, this should help a bunch. If I put a filter on for say "XXX", will all e-mails simply be sent to my Trash file or will they be left on the server at my ISP to eventually pile up and be deleted there?

Your email client will download them off the server like any regular email, except if it has say "XXX" in the subject it will automatically be deleted.

So no the messages won't stay on your ISP's server (unless you have opted to leave messages on the pop server in your email client options).
