: LOADQM.EXE ?

Well since my computer builder friend is in prison (what a shock to me and his dad) and my new machine he was working on, along with several servers, routers and other computers and stacks of hard drives are long gone to the big DEA auction in the sky
(I wonder what kind of evidence they thought they would find on my scanner they took)
I guess I'll have to ask all my questions here

Anyway, do I need to allow "LOADQM.EXE" to pass the "Zone Alarm pro" firewall ?
I have been telling it NO and can't see any difference in how this machine acts

Also I have been disallowing an "unknown DNS" on the Norton personal firewall

Where was that site that tells who is the owner of a DNS ?

I thought I had a good deal, taking computers and computer work as part payment on a new $5,300.00 HVAC system we just installed in his house, now it looks like I might not get anything for my work
Well I guess someone will have a nice cool computer room in case they want to hook up a bunch of server stuff that generates a lot of heat like he had (he had six porno sites that were grossing 100 K a month)

Dean,
I know what loadqm.exe is for, but cannot think of it off the top of my head right now http://www.chevelles.com/forum/frown.gif

As far as the DNS lookup goes, If Al lets you have a shell at the TC server, just telnet in and give the command WHOIS [IPAddress] at the shell prompt. Or, you can go to http://www.sampade.org

DEA?!?!?! what's up with that?

Loadqm.exe? Zone alarm pro firewall? DNS? WHOIS? telnet? sampade???? What in tarnation are ya'll talking about?

Try using your speilburg checker sometimes. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Dean, you know what they say about you when you start talking to your "Zone Alarm pro" firewall?!? Try telling it NO nicely.

I'm sorry guys, but I get a kick out of reading these computer posts. My side is still hurting. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif

PS-I've said it before and I'll say it again; glad you guys are around 'cause when my computer farts, I'm lost.

I don't know much about Kansas law but do you have anything listing that property as a job site. Here you would have a chance to file a lien on the property. May talk to someone.

did just that today John

I found out that the LOADQM.EXE has to do with Outlook Express which I don't use any more anyway
