OK its that time again, who is going to the March Meets? Some of the Ca boys need to make a showing. It is March 11-13 and is a great time with lots of drag racing, show cars and cars for sale.

Chris , were in and have a motor home lined up for free!(I hope) We usually make it all three days. Anthony might run his 65 if he can get preregistered, as last year they sold out. We will be glad to see you there! and one promise there will be no trash talkin as I have already packed the duct tape to use on him!

Well we got the rearend back tonight with the 410's installed, and on a whim we decided to check out the 355's that came out. Then we realized we had 342's not the 355's we thought the guy installed. Turns out Strange does not make a 355 and the mechanic went to the next gear, a 3.42. So we were running an 11.98 1/4 mile and 160 60 foot times on a 3.42 gear. That means the 4.10 gear is going to be even more of a difference at the track. We shall see.......... :eek:

Alan, I plan on going on Saturday, and I'm going to leave my girl at home because I tell her what to do.... that is if thats what she wants to do... you know what I mean

Chris, looks like we won't be taking either car as we decided since the rear end was out we are going to go ahead and install the front disc setup,its been in the hall closet for almost two years. :eek: Also I think we will have a more laid back time without cars to worry about or to try and keep clean it was a dusty mess last year.

Not sure where we will be as the motor home fell through, trans going out. So we might just get a room and drive the 10 minutes each am/pm. :(

We had a blast but could have had more friends show up as we brought back almost a case of beer! It was very hot Friday and Saturday but Sunday was overcast and cool. Three days of great racing and visiting with others.
Most exciting was the Wild Willy Blown Nitro Altered, over two thousand horsepower with a wheel base just over 108 inches, all over the track and a run close to 200MPH an Sunday. http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/RickBandy/wildwilly.jpg

Good times. We left before we were planning cuz the heat was getting to us. Yea the Winged Express is a very awsome ride for sure. Wild Willy is gone but the new driver sure does it justice.

Missed Al... bet he got side tracked and ended up in some back alley pulling tricks to get entry fee back into Deja Vu. :)

I didn't make it to the raceway. Took my boat to a local lake near Bakersfield with my brother instead. After I saw Good Guys raised the entry fee to $30, I called B.S. and put the money toward having fun on the boat.

Sounds like you guys had a good time. I'll catch up with you guys at another event.

Alan, I wished you had called. They may have raised the price $30. but they weren't collecting tickets from the car entry guys. Like I could have handed you a free ticket! We had a great time but I let the youngens hit Dejavu as the heart is not that strong. I hope no one got bit on the butt!
