Thought it might be a good time to post this first notice since the sun is shining here and temperature is almost at the freezing mark. Makes you think of summer activities :D

Made my hotel reservations a couple weeks back and they were already out of king beds!! :(

If you're planning on going you may want to make the hotel reservations soon, if this is any indication of how fast it's filling up!

Must be another event or two there that weekend!

Well Don we're trying to make it a club event, seems that there is lots of interest within the membership to make the trip, hopefully we'll have a nice convoy heading up there.

Well Tom, I submitted a motion to our executive to "Exclude you from this year's event" but I got outvoted four to one :( :D

The Holiday Inn has a block of 100 rooms set aside for us until June 8, after that they will go to the general public. Don't know what configurations are in that block.

A caravan from your area would be great Rob graemlins/thumbsup.gif . Last year we had a caravan from parts of Ohio.

We have room on the parking lot for about 12-15 enclosed trailers Donny. You can leave your truck attached or unhook it if you like. These are on a first come/first served basis. In the past we have had parking for open trailers at the Golf Course across the road, I imagine Gene and his committee will be confirming the same for this year.

When you call they hook you up with the Holiday Inn national reservations call center, so it's not quite as personal as having somebody at the hotel do it - but it works.

I checked the directions again. After you get off 90, you take I-190 north for 15 miles. There's about 4 turns after that in about 5 miles on 2 lane and you're there. It's a piece of cake!

It's about 15 miles from the border. It took up about 15 -20 minutes to get to the falls from the Holiday Inn on Grand Island

I am seriously considering attending, any convoys going up the Thruway, I'd be getting on in Kingston (exit 19).

I will be running the Thruway from Syracuse all the way to Buffalo.

Is this a show, is there a swap meet with it...? Ralph

Ralph - we have limited space available so if we were to significantly increase the vendors it would cut way back on the number of cars. Ground Up Restorations bring their big parts trailer and there usually is a couple of other vendors. Don't come under the assumption of there being a swap meet.

Bill - your car is coming along well. If you can make it from Winnipeg that would be farther than the bunch that come up from Tennessee. We will definitely find a place for that car.

Pro 785 .... if you decide to go maybe we can hook up I hauling my car on trailer and I think easier( less hilly terrain) going through the States as through Canada I would go thru Minneapolis

Alright, you convinced us! My wife and I made reservations yesterday at the Holiday Inn. We are going to make that the highlight of our vacation this year. We are not going to bring any of our five 68 Chevelles, but will stop at every other gas station to fill our SUV. We will make it back out here to the coast in time to catch SCCCC in Buena Park near Knott's Berry Farm to finish out our first summer trip.

P.S. The hotel reservations desk said they had plenty of rooms left as of yesterday.

Recently got an email from that "Crazy Ruskie" Bob Inhoff with the 70 Elky and 70 Wagon. Sounds like he plans to bring both again this year. He wanted to know "What refreshments to bring for everybody and whether to fill the Wagon or Elky?" I told him that is his discretion, but to leave that stupid pony tail hat at home :eek: :D
