There's actually about 6 or 7 hotels within a stones throw of each other in this area.

I have done a search and read it all, including posts prior to last years CB on the tech talk forum. Just trying to get some conversations going on this years event. No need for getting your shorts in a bundle, so the same back to you. graemlins/clonk.gif ;)

Bill, Baymont is twards town (from the old shoneys) under the interstate first stoplight. Turn left and is about 100 yards to their parking lot. The Baymont has a good breakfast with sausage and egg bagels! First year I stayed at the baymont but the last two I have gone the cheap route with Motel 6 at only 32.00 for Wed. Thurs. and 40.00 for Fri. sat.
Can't beat the price for just laying your head at night. Stacey

I do not believe the Baymont is goin to be the host this year,, probly back to the other side of the expressway,,,

The Baymont is a nice place with reasonable rates but cramped for parking space and no trailers allowed. Also about 1/2 mile from party central (Best Western/Hampton) and is a pain to walk at Midnight in a self induced fog. graemlins/clonk.gif

The hotel made an arrangement with that warehouse directly behind the hotel. Secure too...fenced lot with a 24 hr security guard at the maingate.
Marooned, Sweetshot, myself and others were parked there.
However...you're correct about the "fog"! :D

Kevin,
I booked my room yesterday at the Best Western for $69 a night. 615-851-1067

Too bad these posts couldn't have stayed in BR as I think others would have also gotten the bug and got on the phone.

Stacey,
Most times I would be with you on this one, but this is going to be my first time there so I kind of wanted to be where the parking lot action was.

I haven't heard or read if the host is Baymont---------------------- BUT WITHOUT QUESTION, THE ACTION AND CROWD IS AT THE BEST WESTERN/HAMPTON! The Best Western and Hampton are back to back.
Also, the event and all of the motels are in GOODLETSVILLE, which as mentioned, is a suburb on the north side of Nashville. The main street through the area is Long Hollow Pike.

I will probably bring the big ice chest this year, but not so much beer--------------and definitely I'm not going to bring anything to make hamburgers ever again. Its not worth it since almost no one was interested.

I'm getting Hungry just thinking about it. And I definately ate my share of dogs and burgers. The New York group is leaving the wives home this year so we'll be even hungrier with no-one to tell us it's time for dinner graemlins/clonk.gif

That's true, you did. BUT, you were in a SMALL minority. The last 2yrs, I've had to haul back more than I cooked---------------------AND I COULDN'T GIVE AWAY THE BEER!!!

WHAT???? What kind of beer was it????? PBR?? Car guys turning down free beer, what is this world coming to??

Tom,

I think alot of it is related to people feeling bad about you giving away your beer and food. I know the first couple of years I did feel 'funny' about drinking too much of your beer. But now that I'm an experienced CB'er, I know what the real deal is...and I'm not as 'shy'.

I guess even rough around the edges car guys have manners, and most probably feel like they are abusing your good will if they eat and drink too much.

Maybe put an old coffee can out "for donations" to the 'DZ Auto Beer and Burger Barn'. This might make people feel more comfortable about it.

Just My .02

Look foward to talking to 'ya at CB.
