Some of you have taken interest in a Castle museum meet, just wanted to set up a date for next month here.

Any weekend is good for me, with exception of the 20/21, moving.

We could either meet there, they have a small burger/deli restaraunt inside the place, we could have pizza/beer locally, or come back to my place for another BBQ or just get some burgers and hang out.

Any other suggestions are very welcome.

I'm in, wifey perhaps too, we'll bring the Cobra if the weather's decent.

I could bring another keg as well, if there's any interest... graemlins/beers.gif

It's a 2004 Cobra, fun to drive, but it's a F*%d.

Craig, depending on when we meet, I may or may not have much selection, I've got the Duvel brewed and it's fermenting now, and I'm going to do another Raz Wheat next week sometime, and maybe a pale ale. I'm going to need 2-3 weeks or so at the minimum for the beer(s) to be ready. Unfortunately I drank all my IPA, and I've got some of the last Belgian Dubbel left, and while that one is good, it's about 7-7.5% and will have everyone schnocked in a hurry graemlins/clonk.gif

Regardless, sounds like fun.

In November I'm available the weekend of 13/14 and 20/21. So hopefully one of those works for most because I'd really like to check this place out. I'm up for whatever on food. I'd like to try some more of Kinzli's beer :D I'll try my best to have the Chevelle with me this time.

Passing out in driveways with Ron around is a BAD idea ;)

The museum is open 7 days a week, so we could go whenever we wanted to.

The 13/14 is fine with me, Sunday OK with everyone? If not I will have to take that Saturday off, doesn't bother me to do so, but would have to put in for it asap.

If Jeff Brings beer, we would have to come back here and do some brew drinking and a little Q or eat burgers, something like that...

kinzli
Nov 1st, 04, 1:20 PM
I dunno if I can have any beer ready by the 14th, in fact, all I might have by then is a bit of Belgian Dubbel (and that keg is getting close to empty) :( Probably the 21st is the soonest I can have anything ready...of course, there's always Macrobrew swill, or 12 packs, or...? smile.gif

Nov 1st, 04, 1:43 PM
Since Kinzli is slow to make beer and quick to drinking his existing stock (you the man Kinzli!!) how about we just have lunch at Castle? We could get something there, or each bring our own "brown bag" lunch. Just a suggestion. I wouldn't mind having a few barley pops though graemlins/beers.gif

THORSS70
Nov 1st, 04, 2:09 PM
Ya, we could just go to Castle and do the tour then stay there, or go somewhere in town? Never ate at the burger stand there, but it can't be that bad?

Beer, we could do a pizza joint or go somewhere and have a few.

Up to you guys, I think taking a few Chevelles out for the day doing the caravan together is going to be the fun part....

That leaves only about 10-12 days for the raspberry wheat to ferment and settle, and IMHO not long enough. 2 weeks is about the bare minimum.

I'm up for whatever the group wants to do. Checking with my wife now to see if we have anything already scheduled during that time ;)

Shortly after the Raz, an American Pale Ale will likely be next, very shortly after, like the same weekend graemlins/beers.gif

So, the weekend of the 13th/14th is good for everyone?

Let's say Sunday the 14th at 10/11AM?

For the nothern guys we could meet up off the freeway at like Main st in Turlock then go in from there, or meet at my place and take the back roads (Santa Fe ave). Either way it will take the same amount of time. Main st has a Carl's Jr if anybody is hungry before we hit the rd.

For the southern guys meet at the museum? This is off of Buhach rd in Atwater, go east to Santa Fe ave and follow the signs into the parking lot. I believe it is south of Buhach, so left it will be on santa Fe.

Big place, very hard to miss especially with an SR-71 out front ;)

Hey Craig, this is Jeff. I talked with Chris and Sunday 11-14 just might work out. We could come up on Sat. and spend the night with #1 Daughter in Escalon. She and her husband just moved into a new home and she's dying to show it to us. Then it would be a short drive back on Sunday to your place or Castle. I'll be following this post.

Don't know where we are meeting back yet, Jay was over last night and he wanted to come back to the house afterwards, but it is another 20 min back here so don't know if everyone is up for that. My home is allways open for anything y'all want to do so don't hesitate to suggest anything back here.

THORSS70
Nov 9th, 04, 1:22 PM
Well, consensus is for Sunday so far.

Lets kind of set a time to be there then, I was thinking about 11AM at the museum, so anybody coming over here to my place should be here by 10:30 AM at the latest. It will take about 30 min from Santa Fe ave, but the freeway is an option if we ant to go that route. We will decide Sunday morning.

Jeff, you could just stay on the 152 and get to the 99, go north from there to Atwater. If you are taking the same route as you did lat time, what time would you be driving throuhg this area? I was thinking we could hitch up somewhere and drive in from there.

Troy, will the Chevelle be making this trek this time? We all would like to see it I am sure....

Rick/Anthony, you still plan on attending? We have confirmed Jeff and Chris so having both of you guys as well would be bossa nova man

Afterwards we could do whatever everyone wants to do. If y'all want to come back here, great, but we will have to figure out what to eat...OR we could find a sonic burger and bring in all of the cars for a little cruise and see if we can attract some local attention....

Alan
Nov 9th, 04, 3:33 PM
My cousin John might be showing up with me. Provided he doesn't have to leave too early to climb into his big rig for the week.

I'll show up with my truck. I have to travel next week and don't want to leave the Chevelle sitting in Long-Term parking at the airport for five days. What a PITA trying to get this car back up here

as far as afterwards goese, im all for whatever, cruising to an in-n-out will be ok as well as going back to craigs and b-b quing or ordering pizza or something. theres alot of rice to scare in merced near in and out, i always find a few "uncle ben" steamers that have the nerve to rev. i go with the flow so ill let others decide what the plan is

Well I will probably be there in the 66 if it doesn't rain. The 65 is staying home as Anthony has to work and the seats have been sold and the racing buckets and cage are being installed. He just ordered Hoosher 29 inch x 11.5 Slicks and he is getting ready for the December TnT at Sac.
See you guys there! If anyone is coming from the south like Fresno e-mail me and maybe we can hook up and cruise together. Jeff, let me know when you will be coming out 152 as I live only about 10 minutes from there. graemlins/beers.gif

I'm not sure what time I'll be coming through 152/99, I'm guessing around 9:30 or so? Hell, I dunno.

Not sure what I'll be bringing, either. Probably won't bring the Chevelle since it's gonna probably rain part of the way, but might bring the Cobra...and sadly I don't have any beer to bring :(

Got some work to do on my car before Sacramento... namely re-do my PCV system with an oil seperator system, and I also need to get my custom serpentine pulleys for the alternator and A/C fabbed so I can junk the V-belt. I don't want to throw any more belts at 7000rpm like I did a few times last year... so far I've been lucky and only damaged a hood liner. I am thinking the same thing. Depending on how far (gas=$$) then I am up to most cruises that we can think of. Hearing Jeff and Chris spent 60 bones just to drive from Pixly to Escalon scared the beejeesus out of me tongue.gif Although I have the OD baby.

The Dec races, then the Jan swap meet, but in between and following is up in the air for me depending on work and other obligations I have.
