Anyone going to the swap meet in Chickasha this weekend?
I thought it was next weekend, but someone on Chevytalk (55-57) said it was this weekend.

I passed through Chickasha (pronounced: "chick-a-shay") last week on the way to Gracemont. I stayed in Anadarko. Talk about Indian country! I stayed in Chickasha last time I was up there.

I'd love to go to the Swapmeet there! That will probably be a great one, judging from the classics that I saw in all the boneyards in that area! Probably one of the best kept secrets in our little world (hope I didn't just blow it).

There's even a bar up there called "Musclecar Roundup" (or something like that). Cool little town.

If you've never been through Oklahoma, I highly recommend it. I've never seen so many classic pickups still hard at work for the people. I guess they're kind of poor, so they have to keep the same pickup in the family for decades.

I know a lot of Model T guys that go every year. From what I've heard, I think it's a lot of pre-WWII stuff and not so much muscle-era. Those are the ones I like, I can find parts for both of my drivers smile.gif

The Fall meet is usually 2-3 times bigger than the Spring meet. AND THE FALL MEETS HAVE PARTS FOR ALL YEARS!!! Generally, the Spring meet is for the earlier cars. So, this is the one to go to. Plus, it looks like the weather is going to be great!
I'll be there early in the morning.

Had a great time at the swap meet! Scored a new in the box Holly HP950 for $400, and a really nice rear bumper and hood hinges for the 71 chevelle race car.
