Anyone on this board attending/showing in the Pismo Beach "Fun in the Sun" Show on Father's Day Weekend?

I really wanted to show mine this year but I think the entire town is booked, we have been unable to get a room for Fri. and Sat. We may just drive up for the day and leave the Chevelle at home. We attended last year and it was a blast!
Harry's is a great hangout. graemlins/beers.gif

Rick, I'll be there showing my hooptie at space 107....if you're there, stop by and say hello. Oh, and Harry's is pretty fun, but so is our campground at Pismo Coast Village ;)

Is there much of a cruise in the evening with this show?

As far as I remember, there is a cruise on Friday night. I don't know if it is impromptu or organized.

The cruise is pretty awsome.. kinda both organized and unorganized, any little bit of rubber waisted will result in a big ticket. We stay at the in-laws across the street from Pismo Coast Village. Dont think the velle will have paint on it yet but will have the truck there. Good times for sure!

I remember last time I was there in the '65 Vette Roadster... you circle down by Brad's and Splash Cafe, turn left into a little parking lot, where all the crowd begs you to do burnouts. So I sidestepped the clutch a little and as the car in front of me exits the lot, what do I see at the exit of the parking lot but a motorcycle cop with a ticket book in hand! He shook his finger at me, but the smile on his face told another story. tongue.gif

Great event. I haven't been able to go for the last 2 years, but prior to that I went 3 years in a row. Lots of cars, good eats down by the pier, and nice weather. A must-do trip IMO.

I used to live at Pismo beach (actually I worked in Pismo and lived in Oceano) Hard to believe so many people are driving all the way up there.

Seeing how the 16th of June is my birthday I might just hit this show up as birthday present to me  I'll have to start saving now for gas money, but sounds like it'll be a great time. I'll have to ask the 'Road Dog' Beaux if he wants to roll as well.

I think I might take Highway 1 so I can test out the twisties with my new suspension graemlins/beers.gif

EDIT: Rick look for a room in San Luis Obispo. Rooms are available at the Travelodges. BTW, you're car looks SWEET! Awesome man.

Santa Maria is nearby too and likely cheaper for those who are looking.
