Anyone here happen to go to this show in Mount Pleasant, Michigan last year? The "Second Annual" one is coming up at the end of May. They really don't have many details about it at the web site (http://www.soaringeaglecasino.com/events/spec-promos/carshow/index.htm) -- hopefully they will put some more up soon.
Just curious if anyone happened to go to the first one last year and can tell me any more details about it?
Thanks!

Hey John - youve got email - it is a great show - 450 cars last year - room for 600 this year.
Last year they ran out of room one week before the show - so they dont do drop ins. They are closing out registion at 600 or May 21 which ever comes first.
I know they are at 150 or so right now. The great thing about that location is the casino is great for spouces or friends who may not be into cars. Gambling, restaurants, the spa - great hotel. Make reservations early if you want to stay at the Resort - but there are lots of rooms in Mt. Pleasant - but advance reservations should be made.
I used to work at the Soaring Eagle - I lead the planning team for the show - but I "retired" 45 days before the show last year.
If anyone has any questions - drop me an email - I was just there yesterday talking with them about it.
The quality of the cars last year was excellent. Registrants also get to get several chances on the giveaway car - a fiberglass 32 Ford roadster with a 350/350 - Corvette Yellow - worth about $35,000. Beautiful car.
I am taking my Chevelle to the show and I also am going to be a vendor.

I guess I'm fairly "nervous" about taking my wife's Chevelle. Mainly because I'm afraid it isn't up to the quality of what I expect to see there. You know -- I don't want to have the
"saddest" looking car there. I mean, we love the car -- and think it is great. But it is a whole different story when you are "competing" against what is out there. So, maybe we'll just go and look this year -- as opposed to making it our first show that we would actually put her car into...
Then again, we're local -- so maybe we should enter it just for the experience of being in a show without having and long-distance travel issues...
Hmmm...
Thanks for the info! (Got your email too -- I might give you a call -- thanks!)
