Turlock swap meet time again :D

Sunday, May 2nd at 7AM.

BBQ and bench racing afterwards at the house, as usual.

I am trying to scrape the cash up to get a steel blazer tank for the truck at that time, wish me luck ;) If I can, maybe we all can lift that heavy bed off of the thing and do some bolt on stuff....Ron can use his calves :D

Truck is not painted yet, but is mostly ready, just a detail to the firewall and door jams and I am mint.

Heck no, definately not tired of that tradition! :D

It's on the calendar, I'll be there. Now that I have a tow vehicle, the car will come along too if it's not raining.

I'm not going to make KAN but Turlock is a go! I'm amped Craig, let me know what I can bring for the barbie...

They do still cruise there, but it's not like Wodward ave or anything. Just an idea. Also, if you do bring your ride over, lend me the keys, I will wring that sucker out let me at it :D

As for the keys, anytime Craig, full throttle over 50 scares the daylights out of me on street tires and street traction :eek:

I used to jab my friend Marky about lighting up his TAD dragster in the parking lot of a car show - he won't even put it in gear without lots of room and reasonable traction. Of course he's making 4x more horsepower than I am :D 3500HP and a 300" chassis don't make for very fun brodies in a parking lot redface.gif

I'll get together with ya as the time nears to see if we can pull off the Saturday night venture, that sounds fun.

Sounds great Jeff, just let me know if you still want to do this the closer the date comes up. I need to get the car registered (DMV) before I go over with it, but I do plan on taking it in the swap meet to hang out. Think about doing that also, I think it is $25 bucks for the day to bring the ride in to park in the for sale area.

Well guys I dont know if we are gonna make it or not. The Chevelle is all tore down for paint so it will not be making the trip for sure. I need to get a new rear bumper and some inner fenders so I may try to make the trip to take advantage of show prices. Boogy on!

Like last time, if you want to bring something, like beer, go for it. But we will be going to the store of choice afterwards to get everything else. Chris and I plan on arriving at Wally World Sunday morning. Probably bring my truck. Gonna pick up a rear bumper for the Chevelle. I'm thinkin of getting a front bumper for my truck too. :D

Madera Rick, take the Fulkerth exit, turn right and you will see it on the left side. Hard to miss, but the parking lot it big so look for us near the Union safe bank by the traffic light. I usually get there by 6:30 or so but if I am not just hang out I will be not far behind. Also, if you are running late, we will be there unitl 7-7:15 or so, then if you still miss us just go in and call one of the cell #'s. If you want mine, e-mail me at work and I will get it to you.

Im tryign my damndest to make it, but have contractors coming over this weekend as I am having my entire backyard landscaped (Pavers, cement pad for shed, 2 ft high / 60 foot long retaining wall, sprinklers and lawn) and completely forgot about the Sat. and Sun. appts.

AND - I am doing it all for you guys! So I can throw a shindig and my buds dont have to stand on dirt. :D

I am going to try an get Jirina to stay there but I have to tell her what to inspect when they are done, and give her a lowdown on what to watch to make certain they do the work as I asked them to. I'll call ya tomorrow night, Craig.

Well, we ain't bailen. Craig we'll see you at Walley World tomorrow morning. We'll be in my '69 truck as the velle is pretty much stripped. Jezz, all this gayness seems to be rubbing off......glad we live pretty far south...

It was great seeing everyone, Rick, Jeff, Chris and Ricks friend with the 68 427 Vette. Man that car was quick as hell, no wheelspin at full throttle 1st gear :cool: Still can't believe how quick that car was....on street tires.

Beaux, (and everyone) you are more than welcome over when I spray the interior of the truck in 2-3 weeks. I still have to prep the inside and firewall but that should not take me more than a couple of days. Then it will be 1-2 week after that when the body of the truck gets color. I will say, everyone attending and staying in the garage wear a full resporator when the paint is spraying ($12 for a temporary one) Bad things can happen if you don't...

Don't want to scare anyone away, just don't want bodys hurt for something so fun and exciting to do and watch. I will post or e-mail before I do this.

also, I am pretty excited, I did get to buy a new blazer gas tank and kit for the truck this morning smile.gif

Hey Craig. Good to see you and your family. Thanks for your hospitality. Rick's 66 sure is nice and his buddys Vette was awsome. We made it home just fine, the a/c did it's job. The swap meet was fun, good to pick up a few things. Another bbq in Fresno would be good for this summer (Alan?). So until next time, take care.

Craig thanks for having us over. I was glad I didn't wus out this time. It was good to see you guys. The drive home was hot and the Vette stayed behind me while I turned 3500 @ 70MPH! When we reached close to home he shifted the Richmond and passed mt at over 110MPH. I got to get a Overdrive :eek:
