The inner rim area. Is there a specific color. Again not the outside two tone but
the inside. My spare needs a coat of paint.

Thanks,
Rob

As far as I know,
year one carries the correct grey wheel paint for the back of the wheels,They also have it for the 71-72 wheels.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's called Dark Argent. A company called Details makes it as well as others. Got mine from Ausley's but YO and others should carry it as well.

Ditzler called it Argent Silver. I happen to have 1 quart (from 1980) of original factory mixed Argent Silver in with my paint supplies.

Eastwood sells it in a spray can.

If you happen to know a KAR products salesman they sell an engine paint called dull aluminum which I recall to be almost an exact match for the Argent Silver

The "pocket" area (where the lug holes are) ?

It is very dark (almost black) grey with quite a bit of metallic content

I have seen quite a few repainted black

I think where Rob means is on the backside of the wheel which is what's showing on the spare in the trunk. I've seen some 900+ point '69 SS restorations where it's a "Battleship Gray" color, completely different from the front surface colors. I can't help but think this is correct. Year One and the others don't sell this color.

Like Von, I'm understanding Rob to be referring to the paint on the backside of the wheel. I've also heard it referred to as "Dove" gray, and it seems to resemble the Delco shock gray.
