I have a question regarding a steering box
swap I made. I bought a quick ratio steering box for my 65 Chevelle. The housing was identical to theoriginal so the hoses and everything bolted right up,went in fine.
The issue I have is that the steering doesn't seem to turn all the way to the right anymore. I have 235/60R15 tires and they rub on the sway bar a little. But after the swap the tires rub when I turn to the
left but it has 1" gap when I turn to the right. The box seems to be keyed where it mates to the steering arm so I don't think I messed up there. Is it possible the stop in the box was improperly set?
Is this something that could be corrected at an alignment shop with tie rod adjustment? Any help would be appreciated.
