Where did those numbers come from, the VIN tag or numbers from the engine ?

I know CE means "Chevrolet Engine" If it's on the engine pad

Well if its a 366 you should just forget about it. From what I've been told here its a junk engine, basicly designed from the start to be a truck engine. If its a Tall Deck 427 your in a better boat but it's still sinking. The TD427 can be made to make massive power but getting stuff for it and having it do well on the street is going to make you want to cry.

I assume you knwo already if this is a Big Block or a small block?

Remember on the exhaust ports/runners/manifolds...

[O OO O] is a small block
[O O O O] is a big block

Post this down in the Tag Team section and see what comes up.

I'm pretty sure that it is a replacement engine. I would take those numbers to your local Chevy store and ask them to help you.
