Have a '65 Malibu. Prior owner swapped the powerglide tranny for a turbo 350. He didn't rehook up the neutral safety switch so the car will turn over in Drive. Question: Will the original neutral switch from the powerglide work with the turbo 350 or do I have to get one that works with the turbo 350? Thanks in advance.

I believe the switch has to do with the shifter and not so much the transmission. Was the shifter changed or is it the same one? The switch may have not worked before and could be why he never hooked it up again.
