: 1969 300 Deluxe Chevelle Interior
Keith Tedford Oct 21st, 01, 1:40 PM In the 133-134 series models 27-37-69 there are two black vinyl seat trim numbers listed. One is the 752 which is what our Baltimore built car has. The second is 757 which is listed as U.S. trim only. Anyone know how 757 differs from 752?
Don_Lightfoot Oct 21st, 01, 3:42 PM You got me there Keith http://www.chevelles.com/forum/confused.gif
I'm trying to remember, is yours the same as mine?

Everyone wants their car to look stock and haul ass, my car looks ass; hauls stock.
Keith, The 69 Chevelle Features and Specifications manual I have lists two black interiors for the 300 Deluxe, 751 (cloth bench) and 752 (vinyl bench). Could the 757 be a typo? (1 and 7 being visually similar in some fonts). Mine is (was)a 752.

al carson Oct 21st, 01, 6:45 PM the number is a 752.....black
Keith Tedford Oct 21st, 01, 10:53 PM My interior is the 752 all vinyl black with the dual white stripes on the bottom of the front seat and bottom and back of the rear seat. Both numbers are listed together. The 757 had a note at the bottom of the page designating it as "U.S. trim only". Len Dempsey's 300 Deluxe has a great example of an original 751 black cloth seat interior.

Wouldn't these posts feel better in the upholstery forum? I'll bet the ones already there would, they seem so lonesome.....

Keith Tedford Oct 23rd, 01, 2:22 AM The 757 is right there near the front of the parts catalogue.
Cam Oct 23rd, 01, 11:49 AM There used to be some anomolies in the 300 vs. 300 deluxe interior trim codes in Canada. In 1969 the difference between Canadian & U.S. Chevelles was limited to reduced h.d. 3-speed availability, no L78s or COPO 9562; no Concours sedan. This is not to say that U.S. cars did not enter Canada as new cars and vise versa.
What I show for Black Bench Seat interiors for U.S. Chevelles in '69:
750 - Black Pattern Coated Fabric, Black Coated Fabric
751 - Black Ransom Cloth, Black Coated Fabric
752 - Black Pattern Coated Fabric, Black Coated Fabric
753 - Black Rior Cloth, Black Coated Fabric
754 - Black Richmond Cloth, Black Coated Fabric
755 - Black Coated Fabric
In GM-speak, Black Coated Fabric is what we would call vinyl. The above list is for all series, 300-deluxe, Malibu, Concours.
I believe Ransom Cloth = 300 series, Rior Cloth = Malibu, Richmond Cloth = Concours (Sedan)
Black Bucket Seat trim code (all-vinyl)
756 - Black Coated Fabric
757 & 758 aren't assigned on my U.S. chart, 759 is the next assigned (Met. Medium Blue Pattern Coated Fabric, Met. Medium Blue Coated Fabric
Back in 1967 on the 300 all-vinyl bench seat was 757.
Don_Lightfoot Oct 23rd, 01, 12:08 PM Well Cam, I'm impressed. You should maybe give up your day job http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
