More than one month I disconnect the battery.

More than three months I fill up the gas tank.

More than six months I'm working on it so nothing else matters http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Been winter storing mine for 10 years now
Car is put on frame jacks but just enough to take some weight off and tires still touch floor
Gas tank filled and stabilizer added
Battery disconected and removed
Spark plugs removed, 'winter storage spray' added to cylinders and plugs replaced.
Usually take this time for oil change and lube
Have had no problems doing it this way, car starts every spring in seconds.
For just a month or so I would check tire pressure and remove battery
just my 2 cents
Here's hoping the 4-6 month storage will be avoided.

ok, this i've found to be the best way to store a car.... first fill it up with gas, then i just park it and let it sit, check all fluid levels, and i also drive it to work every day and around town to keep the battery charged up http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif and the seals good and coated. living in Texas is good, yes life is good

CAREFULL!!! Yer going to have a house full of Canucks if you don't watch it! Beautifull here in the summer but winter sucks. Rain rain and more rain. Oh well, luckily here on the coast, very little snow, and lotsa fresh seafood .

I like to use a battery tender year round so I don't ever have to disconnect and store the battery. Also keep the fuel tank full. And I like to start my Chevelle about every two weeks and bring up to temp for a little bit. Every other start I like to lift the rear off the ground to carefully put it in gear and lube the running gear. I also change the oil before storage and usually after in case of any dilution of the oil from the starts since it doesn't realy get a chance to boil out.
I try to keep my garage about 50/55 degrees.
What's the quickest route to TX???
