Any pictures that you can share? Trying to install mine and the bracket hits the floor pan. Should I use some spacers?
Thanks

I left the top loop off because it hit the floor. I have had no problems with tech.

I got one of the universal kits from Summit or Jegs (can't remember) and I also had to leave the top loop off. I would have preferred to have it in there but nothing I could do about it.

I just dug through my archive of images, and found only one pic that might do you some good.

You can see the groove in the drive shaft.
Luckily, the groove is only in the dirt, and it did not remove any metal.

Since this picture was taken, I have had the tranny out of the car. I took that opportunity remove the loop and weld the pieces together. It gives a lot of extra room if the engine/tranny wants to sway a little.

It only takes a few minutes to remove the drive shaft. Remove the 4 bolts that hold the U-Joint on the differential, and slide the yolk out of the transmission. Have a bucket under the tail to catch the tranny fluid. Bolt the loop in place, and put the drive shaft back.

One thing to note:
Someone pointed out that my loop does not meet SFI approval because it is too far from the yoke. If you are concerned with that, check first to find out how close it has to be. I had the perfect opportunity to relocate mine, but I wasn't the one who installed it in the first place, I didn't want to drill any new holes in the floor pan, I don't car if it is SFI approved, and by the looks of it, it is in a pretty convinient location as it is.

Mine was exactly the same as in the pic. I also took it off for the same reasons (Line on drive shaft.) and welded it up.

I have the same kit as dwebb210. But the creative side of me came out on this one. I cut any extra (leg) material from the loop and put a double bend in the mounting flanges so that I could utilize the entire loop.
I'll try to remember to take some pictures when I get home.

Thanks guys, needs to be within 6" from the center of the tranny u-joint.

I have the same loop as the picture purchased from summit. The problem is that the sides that attach to the underbody touch the floor pannels next to the driveshaft. I might have to leave the top loop off as well to get this one to fit.

Thanks for your help.
