Hello all,
I'm new to this forum but I can already tell I'm going to love it.
My very first car was a 68SS that my father bought brand new. Now I am one of those "had a chevelle but sold it now I wish I had it back" guys. I have owned several other Chevelles since then, a 69 malibu, 2- 71's and a 72. I currently have a 69 BB Corvette but still long for another SS Chevelle. I am currently searching for a 68-70SS however, current asking prices for these models seem to be way out of my budget. Anyway glad I found you guys and I look forward to joining Chevelle ownership ranks (again) soon.

Hi Dwayne and WELCOME to the BEST site on the net. I am sure that you will find a 69ss that suits you and that you can afford, be patient and don't jump on something without a complete inspection by someone knowledgeable. Many people here are willing to help with inspection and acquisitions.

I noticed in your "blurb" above that, although you SN says one thing, you have broadened your search to either side of the 69 also which I think will help. In defference to those "pals" you have already made with the 69's above, I am partial to the 70 (&the 67) as you can see by my signature below. Either way, if you are fortunate to land one of those years in your wish list (or any year for that matters) you will have one fine machine.

Until then, hang around, ask questions, get to know the crew, and find out that we have some of the most knowledge car guys (not just Chevelles) on this board...and most of all... enjoy.

Welcome to a fellow newbie/Newby. I urge you not to limit your search to SS cars. I also have long wanted an SS car, but I bought my very solid and complete non-SS 69 for a very reasonable $5K, and have loved every minute of it these last three years.
