Can anybody tell me if the 71 el camino and the 71 chevelle front end are the same or not. hood, fenders etc. Looking to install a fiberglass one piece and need to know if the chevelle and the elky are the same measurments. Thanks for the help.

The fenders and doors of the 71 Chevelle and the 71 El Camino are different. Reason being is the body lines of the 70, 71 n 72 Camino were unchanged after 69. They only changed the front grill and headlight design. You can however swap a 70 El Camino nose onto a 68 or 69 Chevelle or a 68 to 69 Chevelle nose to a 70 - 72 El Camino.

Although from the front the 71 Chevelle and 71 Camino look the same from the side you will see the difference, same applies for 70 n 72. The hood however will fit.
