Off the top of your collective head does anyone know the dimensions of a '68 Elky radiator? Original engine was a 327. I'm looking to replace mine and well...a measuring tape eludes me.

What about parts recommendations? Any good/bad stories out there?

TIA...

Amanda,

If it's stock with no power options, it could be the 20" unit. I just replaced mine with a HD 28" Modine unit. Of course, I had to get a shroud and top cover from the junkyard. My local radiator shop sold me the unit for $125. I assume your Elky may already have the larger unit. Unless you've got a full tilt race motor in it, the Modine should be fine for you. I also got a mid-80's Camaro overflow bottle and mounted it behind the battery on the fenderwell. It looks factory stock! All you do is trim off one of the tabs.

I bought a Griffin Aluminum from Speedway for my 69 Big Block. Works great. @ $170 it's a good deal. Just dosn't have trans fittings. I use an extenal cooler anyway.
If you want to go to a traditional brass unit, find an old out of the way, been in business for 30 year radiator shop. They'll always have the best prices. 19" x 30", I think.

Hi Amanda,

There were two offered for small blocks. One measured "17 x 20 3/4 x 1 1/4" and the other measured "17 x 28 3/8 x 1 1/4".
