I've heard that other plants were later. I thought they had all changed by April, but I'm not positive about that. The clip-on was introduced during the 1970 model year. Different plants switched at different dates. That's why it's good to have historians who collect build sheets. There seems to be alot of gold 70 Chevelles here. My 70's factory color is gold w/black stripes and has the saddle trim bucket seat/console, M-21, a/c, 3.31 posi, AM-8track, and cowl induction.
